  1. OH my goodness! I just read the post about your eldest Maverick and it could have been written about my son, also my eldest, who just turned 6! Right down to potions mixed in the bathroom. I can totally relate! I find that sometimes, you’ve just got to go with it.

  2. “I’ve had people say I must be a “sad” person if being a mom was the greatest thing I’ve ever done. Fuck them.”

I totally agree. Yes, I miss my cellulite-free skin, size 6 body, and vacations where the screaming coming from my room was hott, not disciplinary. But, the joy of being a mom trumps all of that. Reading I Still Want to Pee Alone has added much needed comedy to my parenting.

  3. I was just scrolling through all my unread email and found your piece on mamapedia and I fell in love with you! You instantly made me feel better! I’m so excited to see a normal everyday mama (just like me) living out her dreams of being a writer. I have a dream too and my journey is just starting. Not the mama part (I’ve been doing that for almost 12 years AHHHHH) I’m getting back to me. So you are an inspiration, just wanted you to know that.

  7. Hi
I saw your post about coming off your meds. I’ve had similar issues with my meds. I have done heaps of reasearch in the sense of google and watching you tube videos and I have found some vitamins that actually work!! I am now coming off my meds. The vitamins are all amino acids that the gut makes and are what the gut uses to make Serotonin and Gaba. If you are interested I am happy to send you a pic so you can order them. I’ve gone from suicidal to loving life in a week.

    Cheers Ju

  10. Hi there,
This is so random of me, but I follow you on Instagram and stumbled across your blog this morning. In between whiping butts, cutting the crust off sandwiches that my kids won’t end up eating and playing dress up, I managed to read some of your entries. Your writing makes me feel like I am not alone in the struggle! I have been through my share of binge dieting, I was addicted to diet pills, I could not go a day without wine and threw up everything I ate. Years of counseling, a mmarriage and 4 children later, I do still struggle every day to be a strong woman and mother. Reading your life has added humor to mine and it’s refreshing to see someone who is so real. I admire you and your strength. You are a beautiful woman and your family is beautiful too. My oldest son has high functioning autism and my younger 3 all struggle with some sort of learning curve (I hate the word disability) so I can relate to your struggle! I wanted to thank you for sharing your life, your flaws, your ups and downs, yourself with us. Even though I don’t know you personally, it was so comforting to know I’m not the only one lost in the haze if motherhood lol. I just had to send you a quick message to thank you for the smiles your posts put on my face and the smile you put on my heart when I read your blogs. Where you even find the time to do a blog simply amazes me. You really are a woman to admire. Thank you.
From one crazy mother to another. All my heart goes out to you. Bless you and bless your beautiful children. 💞

  12. I just saw your story on the abcnews.com web site. I myself have been sober for 2 years and 7 months. I checked myself into rehab at the age of 37. I started drinking before work and realized that I was going to end up dying or losing my family. My biggest regret is the relationship I almost ruined with my only child, my beautiful daughter who is about to be 21 and my husband who was on the verge of leaving. When I got on that plane I told myself I was never going to drink again and I haven’t. I haven’t even had a craving. My biggest test was the loss of my sister a month out of rehab and the loss of my brother-in-law 5 months later. I made it through and I am stronger for it. It is different but you do feel healthier and my relationship with my daughter and husband has never been better. I still have regrets for things I have done in the past, but if you dwell on the past you will never move forward.

  13. Need to find effective online marketing that actually gets good results? Sorry to bug you on your contact form but actually that was kinda the point. We can send your promotional text to sites via their contact pages just like you’re receiving this note right now. You can target by keyword or just do mass blasts to sites in any country you choose. So let’s assume you’re looking to blast a message to all the web developers in the United States, we’ll scrape websites for only those and post your ad message to them. Providing you’re advertising some kind of offer that’s relevant to that type of business then you’ll be blessed with awesome results!

Send a quick note to paul5268jac@gmail.com to find out more info and pricing

  15. Your words are always inspiring to me you are so brave! I started reading your blog a few years ago when my mother passed and I was suddenly forced to deal with my 83-year-old father that I do not like but love on some level that continues to this day to be in and out of rehab and a total mess. Thank you for helping me understand the struggle is real and add that to being a mother, wife, and full-time employee, you give me strength – Thank You
